A New Shimmer Crafted with UV Print
We recently explored a new surface effect with our UV print process. The result is a finish that captures the luminous quality of traditional inlaid shell without the bulk of manual craft.
The images above show how the surface responds to light. Viewed straight on the print appears as a subtle metallic base. Tilt it slightly and a soft pearlescent shimmer moves across the design. The surface remains completely flat and smooth to the touch while offering the illusion of embedded depth.
This iridescent shift is achieved through precise layering of transparent UV material. The finish follows any design contour and works especially well on dark backgrounds where the contrast is most striking.
It is a simple way to add a tactile sense of luxury to labels and packaging using the efficiency of digital print.
